What we are Reading

We have so many books on hold.  Right now we are diving into:

" I like being Catholic: Treasured Traditions, Rituals and Stories"  Michael Leach
This has been a great reminder of the vast amount of beautiful gifts within the church.

"Remember the Sweet Things: One List, Two Lives, and Twenty Years of Marriage" Ellen Greene
This is not a Catholic book per say, but a great book about a good marriage.  We are reading it together and it is a good reminder to recognize the good in your spouse.

Cosette and I have an ocean theme going with selections about the seashore etc.

What are you reading? :)

Corpus Christi

We have been talking about the body of Christ this week because on Thursday is Corpus Christi.  With Cosette being so young at age five we talked about what it means to be a part of church, part of the 'body of Christ."

The scripture we are focusing on in our prayer corner:

(if anyone is looking for professional photography on this blog, chances are you will watch me get better over time....but professional photos no. ;)

Our family is getting back to the church after being away...our focus is really to get back into the community.  Andrew has practiced to be a reader.  He is interested in the liturgy.  I don't have a passion for it like he does.  I am more behind the scenes: catechism, Sunday school, church picnics etc.  We have been praying on how to use our gifts to serve others.  I want our kids to know how large their church family can be!  We are encouraging Cosette's creativity at our prayer corner where she can add what she is thinking about.

I am working on posting a segment called, "What we are reading."  Our whole family loves books and we have piles of books on the go most times.

It is rainy today so....indoor activities.

Blessings on your day.

Welcome!

Here you will find a work in progress (yes my blog but myself as well lol!)  I know that Christians enjoy connecting with others regarding their faith and this is the plan for this blog.  (especially Catholic mommies who enjoy homemaking, literature and sharing ideas regarding motherhood etc)

I hope to learn something from others on this faith journey.

prayers,

Samantha
